Well! It’s been a really long time since we’ve written anything on here. But we have good(ish) reasons! Life has gotten really crazy, between our multitudinous jobs, schoolwork, and, you know, the deadly pandemic sweeping the land, we’ve been hunkering down and doing our best to take care of ourselves.

We’d planned to get married this past November, but when the globe shut its proverbial doors to deal with the plague, we figured why not snag one of those sweet, sweet summer anniversaries and get married in August?

And we don’t have a single regret about it!

We pared our guest list down to family and wedding party and zoomed everyone else in and, honestly, it was a blast! We’re still really excited to have a big party as soon as it’s safe, but the wedding itself was perfect. And, hey, we didn’t get anyone sick or (God forbid) dead!

Our first year of marriage is more than half over and it’s been a doozy of a first year, but we’ve pulled together and survived together and found the best of all possible ways to laugh together. Whiskey got me a couple of courses in an online institution for Christmas and we just got around to starting one of them today. This “certificate” in cryptozoology is one of the best choices we’ve ever made. It’s wild.

It’s more fun than actually getting to meet Bigfoot. Champagne made us sparkly cocktails.
